We have a number of sessions suitable for beginners.

Whether you are an experienced cyclist or not, find out how to start your track cycling journey at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales.

Track Tasters

1 hour on-track introduction to the exciting discipline of track cycling at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales, just £35.

Led by a British Cycling qualified coach, riders will learn how to control a fixed wheel bike without brakes before venturing onto the steeply banked wooden track in the footsteps of Olympic athletes!

Participants need to be able to ride a bike, but the coach will progress riders at their own pace. Group size is small (10 riders max per session) to allow both adult and young people to take their first pedal strokes in an enjoyable way. An ideal session to take before embarking on our Stages Accreditation Pathway.

Bike, helmet and cycling gloves included.

Youth Track Taster

Youth Track Tasters are suitable for riders aged 10-14. These last 1 hour, are led by our fully qualified coaches and are tailored for younger riders.

Bike and helmet rental included.

Track Tasters are held on various days and at various times.
